The Vice President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Dr. Ngozi Olejeme, has encouraged Asaba women and Nigerians at large to support the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that his Renewed Hope Agenda is designed to reposition Nigeria on the path of economic growth, stability, and sustainable national development.
Dr. Olejeme also called for continued support for the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, commending his administration for strengthening the state’s political relevance at the national level and for his ongoing developmental strides across the state.

The Vice President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Dr. Olejeme, was also honoured with the prestigious title of “Ugo Nwanyi” by the Women Wing of the Asaba Development Union Abuja Branch. The colourful ceremony took place at the Mariam Babangida International Centre, Abuja.
Dr. Olejeme was recognised for her outstanding contributions to leadership, women’s empowerment, community development, and her unwavering commitment to advancing the welfare and participation of women in nation-building.
“At the same event, two distinguished daughters of Asaba were honoured posthumously for their remarkable service to Nigeria, former First Lady Mariam Babangida and renowned diplomat and scholar Prof. Joy Ogwu”.
In her acceptance speech, Dr. Olejeme expressed profound gratitude to the organisers for finding her worthy of the honour. She described the award as a call to greater service and urged women to remain steadfast, law-abiding, and actively engaged in leadership, entrepreneurship, and community development.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Prince Okey Nwadinobi, described Dr. Olejeme as an “Amazon” whose dedication and resilience continue to advance the cause of Igbo women, the Igbo nation, and Nigeria as a whole.
The event celebrated the enduring contributions of exceptional women of Asaba and reaffirmed the vital role of women in leadership, unity, and national development.
Among the dignitaries present were the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator Azuta Mbata; the Asagba of Asaba, Prof. Epiphany Azinge, SAN; the former Anambra State Deputy Governor and Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Emeka Sibeudu; and several other prominent leaders and stakeholders.
