The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has again approved the Ogun Amotekun Corps commencement of its 2026 recruitment exercise for an additional 1,000 operatives to strengthen community-based security operations across the state.

The recruitment drive reflects the state government’s strategic commitment to enhancing security and sustaining the progress recorded in crime prevention, rapid response initiatives, and intelligence-led operations at the grassroots. This development comes on the heels of the nearly 1,300 personnel recruited into the Corps last year to bolster its operational strength.

According to the Agency, the new intake will significantly boost its presence across the 20 Local Government Areas, with special attention to rural communities, border areas, and other vulnerable locations requiring intensified surveillance and swift intervention. The move aligns with the Corps’ mandate to build a disciplined, professional, and community-focused security outfit that works collaboratively with other security agencies to maintain peace and public order.

Interested applicants are invited to submit their applications free of charge through the official website: ogunstateamotekun.com.ng. The application portal will be open from Thursday, February 26 to Friday, March 13, 2026.

Prospective candidates are advised to carefully review the eligibility criteria, required documentation, and physical standards before submitting their applications.

A comprehensive screening exercise will follow the application phase and is scheduled to hold from Monday, March 23 to April 8, 2026. Applicants are encouraged to prepare adequately and adhere strictly to the screening guidelines to ensure a seamless process.
The Agency reiterated that the recruitment process is merit-based, transparent, and entirely free. Members of the public are strongly warned against engaging with fraudsters or unauthorized individuals demanding payment in connection with the exercise.

For further inquiries, applicants may visit the official website or contact the designated helplines: 09016848812, 09155434770, and 07071099133.

The Corps reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with residents in building a safer and more secure Ogun State.
