Motorists and other vehicle riders have called on the Federal government to provide more financial support to the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) in its determination to save lives and properties through daily road repairs.
Our correspondent, who had a series of interactive sessions with motorists and other road users, reported that drivers and passengers at Kano central motor park described FERMA as one of the most important authorities working selflessly to save lives and properties across Nigerian roads.
Malam Dauda Mohammed, a mini-truck driver expressed that FERMA is always committed to ensuring that Nigerian roads are well-maintained and fit for the use of all categories of vehicles, and from what is being seen, the agency is becoming more recognized by the people of Nigeria at both levels.
Similarly, Auwal Musa a commercial bus driver disclosed that “Federal Roads Maintenance Agency deserves more funds to change the face of our dilapidated roads across the 6-Geo political zones to make things better in terms of road infrastructure”.
In this respect, it is gratifying to call on the Federal government and the National assembly to make more provision to the Agency especially since it isrganization that saves lives and properties through the good roads repairing process that is much appreciated by Nigerians.
