Kano Deputy Governor sympathizes with Singa Market Fire victims, extends Ramadan greetings to Muslims

The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo was on Wednesday, commiserates with the traders who lost goods and properties in last week’s fire outbreak at Singa Market. 

Gwarzo described the incident as shocking and deeply distressing, especially at a time when many small-scale traders are striving to sustain their businesses amid economic challenges. 

“I am deeply saddened by the unfortunate fire incident that has caused significant losses to hardworking traders,” he said. 

In a press statement issued by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, the deputy governor expressed his sympathies to the affected traders and their families. 

The fire, which affected parts of the market, destroyed goods valued at millions of naira and resulted in heavy losses for many traders. 

Gwarzo called on residents to intensify prayers and implement safety precautions to help prevent future fire outbreaks in parts of the state.

As the Ramadan fast begins today, the Deputy Governor sent his greetings to Muslim faithful across Kano State, urging them to use the holy month to pray for peace and unity. 

He described Ramadan as a sacred month dedicated to prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal, encouraging the faithful to seek divine intervention to address the security issues affecting  some parts of the country.
