Barcelona wake up late as Yamal sparks Copenhagen collapse with 4-1

Barcelona survived an early scare before unleashing a ruthless second-half response to crush Copenhagen 4-1 and secure a top-eight finish.

Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Marcus Rashford all scored as Hansi Flick’s side ended the league phase in fifth place.

Copenhagen stunned Camp Nou almost immediately when Mohamed Elyounoussi slipped Viktor Dadason through to finish coolly past Joan Garcia.

Lewandowski nearly replied after capitalising on a defensive lapse, but Dominik Kotarski stood firm as Barcelona grew increasingly frustrated before the break.

That frustration vanished three minutes into the second half when Dani Olmo split the defence, allowing Yamal to square for Lewandowski to tap in.

Yamal then turned scorer himself on the hour, his effort deflecting cruelly off Pantelis Hatzidiakos and into the net.

Raphinha converted from the spot after Lewandowski was fouled, before Rashford crowned the comeback with a sublime free-kick late on to complete Copenhagen’s collapse.
