The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Bayelsa State Command was within the week honoured with an Award of Excellence in Recognition of its Outstanding Performance and Best Co-winners in Treatment and Rehabilitation by the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer NDLEA Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa, OFR (Retd.)

Receiving the award on behalf of the command in Abuja, the State Commander NDLEA Bayelsa State Command, Commander Kanu Sunny Chukwuemeka, CN thanked the Chairman/CEO for the privileged recognition of the command, and his visionary leadership in transforming the agency into an elite organization poised to bringing drug abuse/ trafficking to the bearest minimum.

He equally extend his heartfelt appreciation to Officers and men of Command for their gallantry and relentless efforts in war against drug abuses and crime.

This was contained in a statement E-sined by the command,s Public Relations Officer, SN Daniel Howells Obah.

According to him, commander Kanu Sunny Chukwuemeka, CN also dedicated the award to the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Douye Diri for the unwavering support the agency has received in the State through logistics and programs, and the Bayelsa State Drug Abuse Prevention and Rehabilitation Committee (BADAPARC) as a platform for continued partnership in addressing substance abuse, treatment and rehabilitation, and overall preventive efforts.
