Crisis Delayed: Spurs paper over cracks with Dortmund 2-0 win

Tottenham eased the pressure on Thomas Frank with a 2-0 Champions League win over a 10-man Borussia Dortmund, though doubts still linger.

Cristian Romero and Dominic Solanke scored their maiden Champions League goals as Spurs preserved a perfect European home record.

Dortmund’s defensive frailties were exposed early as Romero pounced from a recycled corner.

The visitors’ problems deepened when Daniel Svensson was sent off following a VAR review.

Solanke doubled the lead in scrappy fashion, bundling the ball home after stumbling in the box.

Dortmund threatened sporadically, but Spurs survived late scares thanks to Guglielmo Vicario.

The victory provided brief respite for Frank, though deeper questions remain as domestic struggles continue.
