The Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State Command CP Iyamah Daniel Edebor, on 6th January, 2026. played host to Rear Admiral OBF Oladipo and his component commanders from the Nigeria Army, Navy, Air force, Police, DSS, NSCDC, NCOS, NIS, DIA, and NDLEA, during a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters, Yenagoa.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the police Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Musa Mohammed.

The visit was aimed at strengthening inter-agency collaboration and operational synergy between Bayelsa State Police Command and the Joint Task Force South-South Operation Delta Safe towards effective Policing and enhanced security across Bayelsa state.

During the visit, Rear Admiral Oladipo underscored the importance of sustained cooperation, intelligence sharing, and joint operational strategies amongst security agencies, particularly in addressing security challenges within the state riverine and coastal areas.

In response, the Commissioner of Police warmly received the Commander JTF South-south and team and reiterated the commands readiness to collaborate and synergize with the JTF. He assured the Rear Admiral of the Command full support aimed at crime prevention, maintenance of public order and the protection of lives and property in the state.

Also he assured the Commander OPDS of a robust assistance with the technological assets in the command in the areas of pipeline vandalism, crude oil theft and illegal oil refining

The Commissioner of Police further emphasized that inter-agency cooperation remains a critical component of effective security management and pledged continuous engagement to strengthen the existing security architecture in Bayelsa State.
