The Vice Chancellor, University of Africa. Toru-Orua (UAT), Bayelsa State, Professor Solomon Tamaraubrakemi Ebobrah has hailed HM, Pere S.P. Luke, Kalanama VIII, the Pere of Akugbene-Mein Kingdom, for steering his kingdom including Akugbene community to embrace human capital development via education which he said is fundamental to development and prosperity.
Ebobrah, a Professor of International Human Rights Law, said the overwhelming recognition via the grand reception ceremony recently held in his honour at Akugbene community over his appointment as VC of UAT was not only heartening but a call to service of the people.
The University Adminstrator, whose impressive profile was read on the occasion by Professor Ben Binebai, hails from Akugbene, stressed that their investment in and high premium placed on education will continue to be handsomely rewarded.
According to him, “prioritizing education is the best approach to improving the lives and well-being of the people and makes the community a better place”.
He further stated: “Human capital is the most important ingredient for meaningful development and prosperity. You cannot have proper human capital development without education. The community leadership has taken the right step and this investment will help the development process of the community”.

Kalanama VIII, the Pere of Akugbene-Mein Kingdom stated: “We are not only celebrating the feat Prof. Ebobrah have attained academically but your exceptional leadership qualities, your strength of character and your undeniable humility. We are extremely proud to have you”.
The royal father emphasized: “The appointment of Prof Ebobrah no doubt was a clear testimony to reward of hard work, diligence, grace and His abundant glory”.
