Nasarawa State Government is to spend N145,871,812,998.94 out of its 2026 total Budget on Infrastructural development.
The State Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Planning, Hajiah Munira Abdullahi, disclosed this on Tuesday, during the Analysis of the State Budget in Lafia, the State Capital.
According to the Commissioner, Education which is second in the chain of allocations will cost the State N94,247,939,382.20.
She said the total Budget size as passed into Law by the State Assembly and subsequently assented to by the Governor is N545,182,100,910.77.
Hajiah Munira Abdullahi who reiterated that the State Government places top priority to accountability and transparency in the Management of Public funds, said her Ministry will monitor the implementation of all Projects, programmes and Policies outlined in the 2026 budget to ensure full compliance.
While appealing to Stakeholders in the State for support towards the successful implementation of the 2026 budget, she called on Accounting Officers of Ministries, Departments and Agencies to be guided by the Provisions of the Appropriation Law, by ensuring that every Revenues accruing to the State are efficiently collected, timely remitted and properly accounted to enable the State achieve her set Fiscal and development targets.
