The Zamfara state chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) under the leadership of the Chairman, Tukur Umar Danfulani commenced the training of supervisors, Observers and party agents on the newly introduced electronic registration, known as e-registration.

Speaking at the flag-off of the training in Gusau, state capital, the Zamfara State APC Publicity Secretary, who also the coordinator of the exercise, Mallam Yusuf Idris Gusau said the programme was part of a nationwide initiative approved by the National Secretariat of APC to digitally revalidate and register all members from the national level down to the polling unit level.

According to him, a total of 294 agents have been engaged to work directly with party members at the grassroots, while 14 local government supervisors will oversee and ensure the smooth conduct of the exercise in their respective local government areas.

He stressed that the e-registration exercise is designed to produce a credible and accurate database of party members, stressing that the initiative aligns with the APC’s commitment to digital innovation and internal democracy.

“The e-registration would provide equal opportunities for members to participate fully in party activities, including contesting for elective positions or aspiring to leadership roles at the ward, local government, state, or national levels.

“Without e-registration or e-membership, no individual will be able to participate in party processes. That is why we are appealing to our members to enlighten their supporters and encourage them to come out en masse to register,” he said.

He expressed optimism that the exercise would promote unity within the party and contribute to the successful conduct of future APC congresses at both state and national levels.

This exercise is very important considering the strategic digital innovations being adopted to ensure the success of the party’s renewal agenda as envisioned by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,”.

The exercise has seven coordinating members, with Mallam Yusuf Idris Gusau as the state coordinator and Ibrahim Ma’aji as secretary.
