The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Sokoto State Council, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the beloved father of its colleague, Sirajo Dalhatu Sifawa of RTV Sokoto, who died after a protracted illness.
In a show of solidarity and brotherhood, the NUJ Sokoto State Council, led by its Chairman, Usman Muhammad Binji, attended the Janāzah (funeral prayer) of the deceased, which took place on Tuesday, 23rd December 2025, in Sifawa town, Bodinga Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
Following the funeral rites, the Council paid a condolence visit to the bereaved family, where words of comfort and prayers were offered to Sirajo Dalhatu Sifawa and members of his family during this difficult time.
On behalf of the NUJ Sokoto State Council, its executives, and the entire journalism family in the state, the Chairman conveyed heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, friends, and colleagues of the deceased, praying for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness upon his soul.
The Council further prayed that Allah (SWT) grants the deceased Jannatul Firdaus and bestows upon the bereaved family the strength, patience, and fortitude to bear this great loss.
The release, jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary, Usman Muhammad Binji and Nasir Muhammad Bello, prayed that Allah grant the deceased eternal rest and comfort all those he left behind.
