Salah makes Brighton look small as Liverpool cruise them with 2-0

Brighton were reduced to mere spectators on Saturday as Mohamed Salah casually etched his name deeper into Premier League history during Liverpool’s effortless 2-0 stroll at Anfield.

The Egyptian star didn’t even need to score to embarrass the Seagulls, breaking the record for the most goal involvements for a single club in Premier League history while Brighton chased shadows.

Salah delivered the killer moment by teeing up Hugo Ekitike for Liverpool’s second goal, exposing Brighton’s fragile defence and lack of resistance.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 33-year-old has now amassed a staggering 277 goals and assists for the Premier League champions—numbers Brighton could only admire from a distance.

Ekitike’s brace underlined Liverpool’s dominance as Brighton failed to mount any serious response, surrendering meekly on one of English football’s biggest stages.

The victory pushed Liverpool up to sixth on the league table with 26 points from 16 games, while Brighton were left to reflect on another outing where ambition outweighed ability.

Liverpool now turns their attention to a clash with Tottenham Hotspur on December 20, brimming with confidence despite looming absences.

Salah is expected to miss that encounter due to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, though Brighton may feel relieved he will not be around to haunt them again anytime soon.
