In a tightly organized political exercise that drew party heavyweights and energized supporters across Ajaokuta Local Government Area, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has completed its direct primaries, producing a full slate of flagbearers ahead of the upcoming local government elections.
In a statement released to journalists, APC Ajaokuta media aide Abdulhameed Ivavah confirmed that Hon. Muhammed Haruna (Ganaja) clinched the party’s ticket for Chairman, while Hon. Bello Rakiya emerged as his Vice Chairmanship running mate.
Party officials described the process as transparent, competitive, and reflective of grassroots participation—attributes the APC leadership has long touted as core to its internal democratic structure.
Similarly, The party also unveiled winners of its councillorship primaries, all elected through the direct voting method:

The primaries attracted significant turnout from party loyalists, further positioning the APC as a formidable force ahead of the elections.
