Nnewi Community in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State gathered on Saturday, November 29, to honour the Crown Prince, Dr. Charles Obi Orizu (Obinechendo), who turned 60.
The event was greatly graced by the Obi of Uruagu, Obi Afam Charles Obi (Ogidi IV), Obi of Umudim, Obi Bennett Okafor (Amaukwu), Engr Emeka Nzewi, Chief Pen Nwosu; Uruagu PG, Chief Innocent Okoli, Prince Sunny Orizu, Austin Manual Jideofor, Chief Emeka Etiaba (SAN), Prince Chiedu Orizu, and Prince Chukwudi Orizu among other sons and daughters of Nnewi.
Others were: Hon Ezeakukwu Emmanuel Nsoedo, Hon Pat Ubajaka, Dr Arch Paul Ileka, Smbassador Ody Nwosu, Dove Chukwulobe, Prince Obieze Orizu, Prince Osinachi Orizu, Prince Afam Orizu, Austin Mauel Jideofo, Eugene Nwizugbe (AnyanwuIgbo), Tony Atueyi, Hon Amobi Chikwendu, Hon Uzo Ulasi, Princess Nonye Orizu, Hon Augustin Ikedoji, and Chief Benneth Etiaba, etc.
In his goodwill message, Chief Emeka Etiaba (SAN) described Obinechendo as a good and humble Prince, who was born great and has achieved greatness on his own.
“Obinechendo believes in listening to wise counsel, and I believe he will make a great king” he added.
On the same note, the immediate younger brother and former Local Government Chairman, Prince Chukwudi Orizu described the Crown Prince as a knowledgeable person, who according to him would rule well after our father, His Royal Highness Igwe Kenneth Orizu III
Prince Sunny Orizu (Akalaka), the younger brother of the celebrant and CEO of Tipsy Barrel, in his goodwill message, said he was overjoyed to be around to celebrate his good brother, Prince Charles Obi Orizu, whom he described as a man who loves helping the needy, especially less privileged children.
Christopher Ibeh, the Regional Manager of Nigeria Brewery, Onitsha, in the same note, said they came to honour Obinechendo, who he described as a great man who has touched so many lives in a couple of years.
“He is a philanthropist who has helped so many families to pay their children’s school fees, and he has made his community proud through his philanthropy. I celebrate him and pray that God continues to keep him in good health” he prayed.
Chief Emeka Etiaba took time to mention some of the Crown Prince’s friends who pulled resources together to make the day a huge success were Chief Oseloka Osuigwe SAN, Mazi Afam Osuigwe SAN, Chief Ikwuazam SAN, Chief Lotanna Okoli SAN, Adaife Ngozi Ukachukwu, Prince Obieze Orizu, Chief Chidi Anazodo, Chief George Obi, and Ekwulugo, CEO of Kingdom of Gold Hotel, etc.
The Crown Prince (Obinechendo), expressed his profound gratitude to God Almighty and his people who came out en masse to honour him.
“It shall be well with my people. The good Lord will honour you as you did today. I am very happy to have you, and I promise not to disappoint your trust in me as your Prince,” he assured.
He expressed his joy at being celebrated because of some of his friends who made it possible. The Crown Prince prayed for God’s protection and good health for everyone who made it out to be present at the occasion.
