The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has formally endorsed the expulsion of Hon. Leke Abejide, following a decision by the party’s Kogi State Executive Committee citing what it described as “multiple acts of indiscipline.”
The announcement came Thursday after a meeting of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) at its headquarters in Abuja. Party officials said the ratification underscores the ADC’s resolve to enforce internal discipline as it works to strengthen its organizational framework.
In a statement issued after the meeting, the NWC emphasized that no member—regardless of political stature—would be exempt from the standards expected within the party. “We are building a party anchored on discipline, character, and integrity,” the committee noted.
The ADC also instructed its Kogi State leadership to commence the process of filling all vacant positions across ward, local government, and state levels. The appointments, it said, must follow previously approved transition guidelines as the party prepares for upcoming congresses, with dates to be announced soon.
The statement was signed by Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party’s National Publicity Secretary.
