The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a four-day shutdown of the Aja–Alagbon 330kV transmission line to allow for scheduled maintenance that will run from November 26 to 29, 2025.

In a statement issued in Abuja by its General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, the company said the maintenance exercise will take place daily between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and is aimed at installing wave traps on the 330kV line bays at both the Aja and Alagbon Transmission Substations in Lagos.

According to TCN, the work will necessitate a temporary diversion of electricity supply from the Alagbon Substation to the Ijora 132kV line, while the Akoka and Oworo Transmission Substations will receive supply through the Ikeja West 132kV line throughout the maintenance period.

The company warned of a “short disruption of load” on the affected corridors, which will lead to reduced power supply in parts of Lagos served by the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (Eko Disco).

TCN expressed regret over the inconvenience consumers may experience, appealing for public understanding. It reaffirmed that the maintenance is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen and improve the reliability of the transmission network across Lagos State.
