The Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA) has appointed a seasoned business professional, Hon. Kehinde Ayodeji Bello, as its new General Manager. The new General Manager however, call on staff and management to uphold professionalism in the discharge of their duties as he resume duty.

Hon. Bello, who took over from Hon. Farouk Akintunde, made the call during his first official engagement with the management team shortly after assuming office. He promised to bring innovation and experience-driven leadership to the administration of OGEPA.

The announcement was also contained in a statement issued by the Public Relations Unit of the agency, headed by Mr. Luke Adebesin. Adebesin noted that while addressing the management and staff, the new OGEPA boss encouraged them to demonstrate greater commitment to work and adhere strictly to professional standards.

“He reminded them of the pivotal role OGEPA plays in environmental protection and related issues. He urged the team to ensure strict compliance with environmental impact assessment guidelines to guarantee a cleaner and safer environment for residents,” the statement read.

Hon. Bello emphasized that with collective effort, the agency would become a game changer in environmental management and in tackling challenges that threaten public health and safety.

He further assured the staff of quality leadership throughout his tenure, stressing that a clean environment naturally breeds a healthy population.

Hon. Kehinde Ayodeji Bello is a cerebral businessman with vast experience in managing human and capital resources. Born in Ijebu-Imushin, in Ijebu-East Local Government Area of Ogun State, he attended Moslem Primary School and St. Anthony Grammar School, both in Ijebu-Imushin.

He holds degrees from Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ogun State, and Westcliff University, California, United States of America, as he also sits on the boards of several companies in Nigeria and abroad.
