The African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Monday, November 17, 2025, entered what its National Chairman, H.E. Sen. David A.B. Mark, described as “a defining moment”, as the party formally unveiled its new National Secretariat Complex in Abuja.
The event, which drew party leaders, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), National Working Committee (NWC), diplomats, stakeholders, and supporters, marked what Senator Mark called “the beginning of a new chapter and a bold statement of purpose.”
Speaking at the Unveiling, the former Senate President said the edifice represents more than a physical structure. According to him, it is “a testament to our collective resolve to build a greater nation through accountability, good governance and strengthened democratic ideals.”
Mark noted that although the ADC’s journey had been met with doubts and skepticism, the unveiling reaffirmed the party’s evolution into what he described as a “historic coalition inspired by the people’s desire for responsible leadership.”
He said the new complex would serve as the operational nerve centre of the party’s activities, where strategies for national development would be crafted, ideas refined, and future leaders groomed. From the facility, he added, the ADC intends to drive policies that uplift communities, reinforce institutions, and protect Nigeria’s democratic foundations.
Calling for unity within the party, Mark declared that the day symbolized “the end of old divisions” and the rise of a more disciplined, visionary, and people-focused political organization dedicated solely to serving Nigeria.
He stressed that the ADC, going forward, would conduct its affairs on the pillars of Character, Courage, Competence, Discipline, and Integrity, insisting that the era of “business as usual” was over.
With a brief prayer and words of dedication, Mark officially unveiled the secretariat “to the glory of God, the progress of our party, and the advancement of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
He concluded with blessings for the ADC and the nation.
