Popular Nigerian singer D’banj has revealed that it was his former Mo’Hits partner, producer Don Jazzy, who suggested they part ways.

Speaking on the Mic On podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye, D’banj said he had no regrets about the split, stressing that the decision was entirely Don Jazzy’s.

“If I were to go back in time, I wouldn’t have done anything differently regarding my relationship with Don Jazzy, especially when the idea to go our separate ways didn’t come from me. It came from Don Jazzy 100 per cent,” he said.

D’banj also noted that Don Jazzy gave him full access to his catalogue and several unreleased tracks. He described their final collaboration, Oliver Twist, as a milestone in their career together.

Despite the split, D’banj admitted he missed working with Don Jazzy but remains appreciative of their shared musical journey.
