Senator Wamakko Empowers 100 Sokoto residents with Electric Motorcycles

In a remarkable display of commitment to the welfare of his constituents, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, representing Sokoto Central Senatorial Zone within the week distributed 100 electric-powered scooters to residents of Sokoto State. This initiative is part of a series of empowerment programs aimed at enhancing the lives of the community and promoting sustainable transportation solutions.

The Special Adviser on media and publicity to the Senator,Bashar Abubakar in a statement said the distribution event, which took place recently, witnessed the participation of various dignitaries and community leaders who lauded Senator Wamakko’s efforts.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Almustapha Abubakar Alkali, who spoke on behalf of the senator, emphasized the meticulous approach taken to ensure that the motorcycles were distributed fairly and reached the intended beneficiaries. “As directed by Senator Wamakko, the machines were distributed accordingly, reflecting his dedication to improving the livelihoods of the people in Sokoto State,” he stated.

This latest initiative adds to a growing list of contributions by Senator Wamakko to enhance the socio-economic prospects of his constituents. In recent months, he has distributed electric tricycles, grinding machines, sewing machines, assorted food items, and solar training kits, among other essential tools for livelihoods. These efforts have been well received throughout the state, with beneficiaries expressing deep appreciation for the senator’s generosity.

During the distribution ceremony, many beneficiaries shared their gratitude and the positive impact this gesture would have on their daily lives. “This motorcycle will significantly ease my commute to school and help improve my family’s economic situation,” said one beneficiary, highlighting the practical benefits of this initiative. Another recipient echoed these sentiments, affirming their commitment to making good use of the motorcycles while praying for Senator Wamakko’s continued success in his endeavors.

The event also attracted notable figures, including the APC zonal vice chairman for Sokoto Central, Alhaji Yahaya Buhari Siriddawa, and Executive Secretary of the Arabic and Islamic Education Board, Ahmad Baba Altine, who all gathered to support the senator’s vision.

Sheikh Abdulaziz Kofar Rini offered special prayers during the ceremony, beseeching Almighty Allah to bless and reward Senator Wamakko abundantly for his unwavering support of the community.

Described by many as a compassionate and visionary leader, Senator Wamakko’s initiatives are a testament to his commitment to bridging gaps in access to resources and empowering the youth and other vulnerable groups in the state.
