FHMUD scraps analogue memos, adopt digital system for promptness

The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has announced the discontinuation of paper base memoranda following the launch of its Electronic Content Management System (ECMS).

This was disclosed by the Permanent Secretary Dr. Shuaib Belgore, noting that the purpose of establishing the ECMS is to streamline operations, speed up decision making, and improve document accessibility and tracking within the ministry.

“With the ECMS now in place, we expect faster access to information, improved compliance with audit trails, and secure remote access to documents.” The PS stated.

The Head of ICT, Dr. Marcus Amiolemen, also acknowledge that the Ministry staff members have been trained on the use of the new system for improvement and efficiency across all departments.

Official ECMS email addresses for formal correspondence include, office of the Honourable Minister –hmregistry@fmhud.gov.ng, office of the Minister of State – hmsregistry@fmhud.gov.ng, and office of the Permanent Secretary – psregistry@fmhud.gov.ng.

Belgore concluded that the launching of the ECMS marks a major milestone in the ministry’s digital transformation journey.
