New Sector of Commander of GRSC pledges stronger partnership for road safety in Niger

The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman has assured the newly posted Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Niger State, Corps Commander Aishaat Sa’adu of the unwavering support and collaboration of the State Government in ensuring safer roads and efficient traffic management across the State.
Receiving the new Sector Commander in his office, Alhaji Abubakar Usman expressed delight that for the first time in recent history, an indigene of Niger State from Munya Local Government Area has been appointed to head the FRSC in the State.
The SSG described the posting as both historic and a source of pride, emphasizing that the appointment further demonstrates that Nigerlites are not only excelling nationally but are also entrusted with critical responsibilities.
He commended the FRSC for its role in promoting road safety and reducing traffic accidents, noting that Niger State is a major transit corridor linking different parts of the country, which places additional responsibility on road safety management.
The SSG assured Corps Commander Aishaat Sa’adu that Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago’s administration will continue to support the FRSC through synergy in public enlightenment campaigns, logistics and joint operations to ensure safer roads for commuters.
In her response, the new Sector Commander, Corps Commander Aishaat Sa’adu, expressed appreciation to the Government and people of Niger State for the warm reception accorded her.
She pledged to work tirelessly to justify the confidence reposed in her by the Corps Marshal of the FRSC.
She also assured the SSG that her command would strengthen collaboration with all stakeholders, including the State Government, security agencies, transport unions and traditional institutions, to reduce road crashes, promote discipline among motorists and ensure that Niger State continues to serve as a model in road safety enforcement nationwide.
Corps Commander Aishaat Sa’adu reaffirmed her commitment to professionalism, integrity and service delivery, while calling on Nigerlites to cooperate with the FRSC in adhering to traffic rules and regulations for the collective safety of all.
