INEC gives certificate of return to winners of Zamfara bye-election

Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in Zamfara state has released certificate of return to the winner of the Kaura Namoda South state constituency seat as a result of the bye-election and supplementary election held on 16th and 21st August 2025.
The event was chaired by the state Residence Electoral Commissioner, Honourable Mahmuda Isah at the state coalition office in Gusau the state capital.
While presenting the certificate of return the Commissioner said, “It is my great honour and privilege to be here before you all at this special occasion to present the certificate of return to Honourable member elect for the position of State House of Assembly member, Kaura Namoda South state constituency from the bye-election exercise conducted on August 16th and supplementary election conducted on August 21st 2025”.
It is a landmark achievement, recording another milestone in the overall success of Nigerian democracy.
The bye-election at Kaura Namoda South was known by all stakeholders to peaceful, free, fair and credible among series of elections conducted by the Commission.
This has gone a long way to prove the knowledge, experience, ethical, professional, none-partisan and independent character of the Commission
Hon. Umar Birnin-Magaji Zamfara APC state secretary commended the effort of INEC, journalists and other stakeholders who made the bye-election exercise successful.
He urged the newly elected member, Honourable Kamilu Saidu Kasuwar Daji to ensure effective representation of Kaura Namoda South state constituency in order to make the party and all the executives who put their resources and experience for his success at the polls proud of him.
In his words, the new House of Assembly member elect, Hon. Kamilu Saidu Kasuwar Daji appreciate all voters from the six wards who came out enmass to vote for APC at the polls.
Kasuwar Daji pledged to collaborate with relevant security agencies in order to bring an end to insecurity in the constituency.
