American-based philanthropist sponsors football tournament to promote sports, unite youths in Anambra

Princess Dr Jessie Ifeoma Udoka-Menuba (née Oliobi), Founder/CEO Queen-Tovah Cares Foundation International, has continued to empower the youth and other segments of the population in diverse ways, including sports.

The Princess, a philanthropist extraordinare, on Friday, August 15, once again demonstrated her love for the people of Amawbia in the spirit of think-home-philosophy as she sponsored a football tournament tagged 2025 Amawbia August League between Elite and Anfield Football Clubs, which ended in a 3-2 victory for Anfield.

Princess Dr Udoka-Menuba has received various prestigious titles, including “Madam Ambassador”, “Mother Theresa of the 21st Century” by the Catholic Laity Council of Nigeria, Awka Diocese, and “Mother General”.

Other titles are “Ahaejiejemba 1 worldwide; “Woman of the Decade” and “Philanthropist of the 21st Century. She is a Bishop and Chaplain, which proves her solid Christian background with a philosophy anchored by the expression: “It is good to be good,” which has remained her guiding principle in all she does.

These recognitions are evidence of her remarkable contributions to philanthropy and human capital development.

Princess Dr Udoka-Menuba, also the founder of Queentovah Helping Services, is the winner of the 2025 Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Anambra Philanthropist of the 21st Century.

The award ceremony is slated for August 28, 2025, to mark the grand finale of 2025 NUJ Anambra Press Week, an event Governor Charles Soludo is expected to declare open at Godwin Ezeemo International Press Center, Awka.

The Princess, who has received over 91 different awards from various organizations, in an interview said her philanthropy is not limited to Anambra State or Amawbia beneficiaries but extended to any part of the world, as resources available could extend.

“I do this philanthropy all over Nigeria and all over the world. I help people financially and have helped many families.

“I started philanthropic gestures when I was very young. I can’t have something to give and close my eyes when somebody is hungry. I have a passion for helping people in need. And I advise others who are blessed with material resources not to relent in helping those who are less privileged in society. Such interventions attract God’s blessings, “Ahaejiejemba added.

Back home, she called on the government of the day to pay more attention to the security of lives and property for all.

The football tournament was well attended by distinguished personalities.

They were Barr. Michael Okoye, Coordinator of Queen-Tovah Cares Foundation International, commended the Princess for using sports to bring together the youths whose talents could be developed in that area of human endeavour, among others.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the organizing committee of the football match, Mr. Somtochukwu Adigwe, said the essence of the event was to promote sports in Amawbia, particularly in Anambra State, generally, as well as unite the youths.

There were refreshments at the event which both old and young attended.

The winning team was given a trophy while the players were all decorated with medals at the end of the match.
