The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nnewi North, Hon. Prince Innocent Orizu JP has expressed how prepared the party is to emerge victorious in August 16 Anambra South Senatorial by-election.
While addressing Newsmen on Wednesday August 13,2025 in his residence at Uruagu Nnewi, Hon. Orizu disclosed that all the party faithfuls in Anambra South Senatorial zone are fully prepared for the by-election to keep legacy of late Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah.
“We understand the vision of late Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah.We believed in him till his death. Many people joined APC because of him, that is why APC Senatorial candidate and Governorship candidate must win August 16 by-election and November 8 gubernatorial election”, he added.
Hon Orizu said with the youths on their side,to rig the election just like what APGA did last year during Local Government elections, would not be possible.
“The people of Anambra State are not happy with Governor Soludo because of too much taxation and how they are being manhandled by the Governor’s thugs, there will be definitely protest vote.
“Since Late Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah joined APC before his demise, APC has become popular more than any other party in Anambra State.
“This is Independent National Electoral Commission election, it will not be possible for APGA to rig the election just as they did in Local Government elections”, he noted.
Hon. Orizu revealed that the Governor has provoked the people of Anambra State enough, revealing that many people have left APGA to APC.
He said APC is a ruling party that has advantage over other political parties.
“APC has produced the best candidates so far in Nigeria. Chief Azuka Okwuosa, the Senatorial candidate, has achieved so much when he was the chairman of Old Nnewi and when he was Commissioner for Works in 1999.He constructed Igwe Orizu road, since then, he has been active in Nigeria politics.
He urged voters to respect the last wish of Late Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah, which remained to queue in the party at the center for enormous benefits.
