ANUPA announces 2025 training workshop for Junior University Administrators

The Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) has announced its 2025 Training Workshop for junior university administrators, aimed at equipping them with practical skills and modern administrative strategies needed to enhance productivity within Nigeria’s university system.

The workshop, themed “Effective Administrative Practices for Enhanced Productivity in the University,” is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, August 20 to Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Bingham University, Km 26, Abuja-Keffi Expressway, Kodope, Nasarawa State.

In a media chat by the National Public Relations Officer of the association, Onyinye Ralph-Nwachukwu, the training is part of the association’s commitment to strengthening professional standards in university administration across the country.

The workshop will feature a series of lectures and practical sessions covering key areas of administrative work. The facilitators and their subtopics include:

Mr. Kabir Garba Aminu (Registrar, ATBU Bauchi; MANUPA, FNIPR, FPNAM, FCDA) will speak on “Rudiments and Techniques in Writing Minutes, Reports, Internal Memos, Circulars, and Decision Extracts.”

Mr. Joseph Akin Adeniji (Deputy Registrar, Directorate of Continuing Education Programmes, Ekiti State University) will lead a session on “Communication and Interpersonal Skills for Administrators.”

Mr. Uchenna Kenneth Ekemezie (Deputy Registrar, Examinations, Records, and Administrative Data Processing, University of Ibadan) will present on “Best Practices in Record Keeping and Management of Official Documents.”

Mr. Ahola Orgheh (Registrar, Igbinedion University, Okada; MANUPA, MNIM, MCIA, FCIA) will explore “Embracing Technology for Enhanced Administrative Efficiency.”

Dr. Hauwa Lami Temine, Esq. (General Manager, UNIJOS Consultancy Ltd.) will analyze “The Fundamentals and Analysis of University Laws, Regulations, and Conventions.”

According to the statement, the training is expected to attract participants from universities across Nigeria, offering a platform for capacity-building, networking, and professional development.

“The workshop will help junior administrators build core competencies that align with current administrative realities in Nigerian universities,” Onyinye said.
