The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, has categorically stated that Anambra State has no place for street urchins and even those without a school certification.
He made this statement on Saturday,2nd of August, 2025 during a mega rally, organized by the Anambra South All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), at the Ekwulobia Solution Stadium.

Addressing the mammoth crowd gathered, Governor Soludo said Anambra State has no place for street urchins and even those without a school certification.
He disclosed that” any politician offering to serve one tenure, whereas the Nigerian constitution does not limit one term, but allows for two terms in office, needs a psychiatrist”.
Soludo accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate of planning to rig the forthcoming gubernatorial election, adding that someone who could not even win fairly without rigging, even in his own ward, stands no chance of seeing his back.
“Anambra State is on a rise, the resolution has just begun. We don’t have anyone else contesting as far as I am concerned” he noted.
He said in a few weeks, Ekwulobia Stadium would be commissioned, adding that his achievements within a few years in the office have made the people of Anambra South take over the campaign.
He appreciated the people of Anambra South Senatorial Zone who endorsed him for a second tenure and honoured him with the title “Original Oru Atu Egwu Ndi Anambra State”.
The Anambra South APGA Senatorial candidate for the August 16th Senatorial by-election, Chief Emma Nwachukwu (Onodugo), having been presented the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) flag as the Senatorial candidate for Anambra South by the party National Chairman, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, was described by Mr Governor as the best candidate for the race.
“For the good work to go higher, Chief Emma Nwachukwu will go to the National Assembly” Soludo added.
In his reaction, Nwachukwu said he would represent his people well within the short period, adding that with good representation his people would gladly re-elect him again.
He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to community development, and empowerment programs that would better the lives of his Senatorial District.
The rally witnessed support groups across the zone carrying placards and banners, expressing their unalloyed support for the Governor and the Senatorial candidate, Nwachukwu, and presentation of a cheque of one hundred million naira to the Governor by the people of Anambra South to support him for a second tenure.
