‘There’s no opposition in Nnewi North,’ –Mayor Anazodo as he pledges support for Soludo

The Executive Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Mayor Echezona Anazodo, has declared no opposition in Nnewi North regarding support for the second tenure of the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Soludo.
He made this known on Saturday, August 2, 2025, during the mega endorsement rally for Governor Soludo’s second term bid by the Anambra South zone at the Ekwulobia Solution Stadium, Anambra State.
While addressing journalists, Anazodo said the Governor has done so much for the state, adding that because of his achievements, the people of Nnewi would support his second term.
Anazodo disclosed that they made two commitments—first, to win the senatorial by-election on August 16, adding that the APGA senatorial candidate has what it takes to secure victory.
Furthermore, he stated that Nnewi North is committed to ensuring that the November 8 governorship election results in a well-deserved victory for the Governor through their unalloyed support.
“We are supporting him for a second tenure so that he can complete his good works in Anambra State, especially in Nnewi North,” he added.
The Mayor went further to assert that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not contesting for anything, stressing that the party is aware of this.
He pointed out that Mr. Governor has done a lot for the state, especially Nnewi North, including the construction of double-lane roads such as Igwe Orizu Road, Nkwo to Nkwo Road, Bank Road, Okpunoeze Road, and many others—all within four years.
Anazodo noted that the Governor has made significant efforts in putting Nnewi in good shape and should be allowed to complete the good work he started.
Also speaking, the APGA Chairman of Nnewi North, Hon. Anthony Muodielo, said that Nnewi North has already been secured by the “Solution Governor,” Soludo, and the senatorial candidate, Chief Emmanuel Nwachukwu.
According to Klassic, the Governor has performed excellently in transforming Anambra State, adding that APGA faithful in Nnewi North would continue to support him in completing his good works—particularly in Nnewi.
