Ajayi restates commitment to adequate water supply

The Executive Chairman of Gbonyin Local Council Development Area, Hon Benedict Oluwadamilare Ajayi, has said the shortage of water supply would soon be completely resolved in the council area as his administration will not leave any stone unturned in its bid to ensure that citizens enjoy a safe water supply at all times.

Speaking during the inspection of the ongoing construction of three motorized Boreholes his administration is putting in place in Ikota community Ijan Ekiti, Irotedo community in Aisegba Ekiti, and Aba Egbira community along Iluomoba/Ilesha Isu road Iluomoba Ekiti, Ajayi said his administration put the project in place in a bid to improve water supply, sanitation, and hygiene within the council area as water is absolutely vital for the survival and well-being of the human race.

According to him, when completed, these boreholes would redress the challenge of inadequacy of water and at the same time curb water-borne diseases among the people in the area.

He therefore called on people to embrace maintenance culture while using the boreholes and they should put good measures in place to safeguard the facility.

Ajayi explained that before now, his administration has constructed motorized Boreholes for the Asura market and for the palace of Ajagun of Iluomoba Ekiti and that many are still coming.

Speaking during the inspection the contractor who handled the project Chief Alfred Femi Aluko the Managing Director of Fredalaks Nig Ltd noted that he complied with job specifications and all materials used for the project are of great quality
