The General Manager, Human Resources and Administration, WACOT Rice Ltd, Dr Umar F. Mohammed, has expressed appreciation to Argungu Emirate for honouring him with the traditional title of Wakilin Raya Matasan Kabi.
Mohammed stated this in a statement issued to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday.
A letter signed by the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammad Mera, and addressed to the appointee said the title was conferred on him in recognition of his contribution to Argungu Emirate and Kebbi State at large.
The general manager described the title as a morale booster, while pledging to do more for the development of the emirate and the state at large.
While commending the emirate and the Kebbi State Government for playing host to WACOT Rice Ltd, Mohammed also lauded the immediate host community for relating peacefully with the company.
He thanked the state government for providing an enabling environment for the company to operate peacefully and successfully.
