YPP set to rejig structure, unveils Executive Committee in Imo

The Young Progressives Party, (YPP) Imo State, in a strategic move to consolidate its presence has unveiled a 23- member state Working Committee (SWC) during an extraordinary meeting, ushering renewed efforts to strengthen and rejig its grassroots network and political coordination ahead of 2027 elections.

This revelation came to limelight as a result of formal ratification by the party’s National Working Committee, showcasing a blend of experienced politicians, grassroots mobilizers and youth representatives tasked with driving the party’s agenda across the the three geo political zones.

This development signals a turning point for the YPP in Imo State, as it seeks to deepen its influence and contest more competitively in future elections.

By assembling a diverse and strategically selected executive team, the party is laying the groundwork for institutional growth, political engagement and youth-driven governance in the region.

Key officers of the newly constituted State Working Committee include:

Speaking, state Chairman Greg Okemili emphasized the importance of inclusive leadership and robust grassroots mobilization, stating that the new executive reflects the party’s diversity and commitment to democratic development.

He said, “We are building a party structure that mirrors the hopes and aspirations of the people of Imo State”.

He charged the newly inaugurated members to champion the values of transparency, equity and accountability.
