‘Maybe I’m not built for marriage’ –Frank Edoho reflects as he confirms second divorce

Popular broadcaster and long-time host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Frank Edoho, has opened up about the end of his second marriage, admitting that despite his efforts, he may not be cut out for the institution of marriage.
Edoho made the heartfelt revelation during a recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, where he offered a rare glimpse into his personal struggles with love, compatibility, and emotional connection. The 52-year-old media personality acknowledged that both of his marriages, including his most recent to Sandra Onyenuchenuya, eventually broke down despite his deep commitment.
“Maybe I’m not good at marriage, I must confess,” Edoho said candidly. “The two women I had been married to are not my soul mates. The love of your life is different from your soul mate. A soul mate is someone who gets you — even without speaking, and you align effortlessly.”
Edoho was previously married to Katherine Obiang, a union that ended in 2011 before he tied the knot with Sandra. He revealed that in both relationships, he poured himself wholeheartedly into making things work, often putting his partner’s needs above his own.
“I went above and beyond in both marriages,” he recalled. “I would abandon everything to support my partner. But sometimes, love fades, and you can’t blame someone for falling out of it.”
Using the high-profile divorce of former Brazilian footballer Kaka as a metaphor, Edoho emphasized that even being a ‘perfect’ partner isn’t always enough. “Kaka’s wife once said she divorced him because he was ‘too good.’ Sometimes, love ends, not because someone did something wrong, but because the connection simply isn’t there.”
Edoho’s vulnerability has sparked widespread conversations online about the complexities of modern relationships, the distinction between love and soul connection, and the emotional toll of failed marriages, especially for men who often shy away from discussing emotional pain in public.
