Special Adviser to President on Health pays courtesy call to Igwe Nnewi, CEO IVM
...Speaks on need to patronize locally-made vehicles

The Special Adviser to the President on Health, Drof Salma Ibrahim Anas, has on Wednesday, 11th of June, 2025, paid a courtesy call to the Igwe of Nnewi, His Royal Highness Igwe K.O.N Orizu III.
Recall that Dr Anas paid a maiden visit to the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra and was amazed by the tremendous transformation of NAUTH’s permanent site, commending the Chief Medical Director of NAUTH, Prof. Joseph Ugboaja OON, and his dedicated team for their tireless efforts to ensure massive results.
In her remarks at the Igwe’s palace, Dr Anas said she brought greetings from Mr President to Igwe and his cabinet members.
She thanked God Almighty for Igwe’s life and wisdom, appreciating Igwe’s enormous support for the institution’s progress, especially for building an ICT center for the hospital.
Dr Anas added that NAUTH, under the CMD and community partnership, remained the best hospital in Nigeria.
She received the Igwe’s blessing, prayed that God would bless Igwe K.O.N. Orizu III with life, good health, and more wisdom.
She expressed satisfaction with the state of development in the institution after a facility tour of the institution’s permanent site.
She said Prof. Ugboaja demonstrated absorptive capacity, transparency, and accountability, adding that they have seen with their eyes the amazing transformation of NAUTH’s permanent site.
She said through partnership, they would harness all the resources around them and ensure they provide quality healthcare services to all Nigerians.
Dr. Anas said they have also seen the expansion of basic healthcare funding, which was promised by Mr President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to vulnerable groups, women, and children.
“We saw the mother and child center, very big centers that provide services to women.
We have been fortunate to meet women who have benefited from the free maternal and child services, who have received free antenatal clinics, free delivery, and free cesarean section.
“These are truly clear demonstrations and results of Mr President’s administration”, she said.
Dr Anas noted that one huge gap she noticed was the human resources gap, which she promised to advocate and support them to have additional employment in human resources for health. She also promised to advocate for additional funding for the facility.
The Special Adviser to the President on Health also paid a courtesy visit to the CEO of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM), Chief Innocent Chukwuma, and was taken around the factory.
Reacting to what she saw at the factory, Dr Anas applauded Chief Chukwuma for creating jobs through his factory. She expressed her profound appreciation to the CEO IVM for reducing unemployment in the country, assuring him of Mr President’s commitment to patronize locally-made vehicles.
She further disclosed that Mr President promised to buy 150 cars from Innoson.
Dr Anas pleaded with Executive Governors, Senators, and others to come and buy cars from Innoson adding that he remained their own.
“Patronizing him, we are promoting our country’s locally-made vehicles and also promoting transportation. Without transportation, we cannot access” she reminded
Dr Anas further promised to go into real business with Innoson vehicle to save lives by procuring ambulances from him. She added that “this is a renewed hope they are looking for”.
