FMITI hosts HCSF for strategic visit on reform initiatives

The Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI) has welcomed the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, on a strategic visit to monitor the implementation of ongoing reform initiatives, specifically the Federal Civil Service Strategic Implementation Plan (FCSSIP25), according to a press statement from Dr Adebayo Thomas Director Press and Public Relations FMITI on Thursday.

The meeting focused on assessing the progress of the Performance Management System (PMS) within the Ministry. Mrs. Walson-Jack reaffirmed her commitment to institutionalizing a robust and results-driven PMS across the Federal Civil Service.

The Director of Human Resource Management, Mrs. Amaka Owurah, briefed the HCSF on the Ministry’s current implementation status of the PMS and other initiatives.

– Commendable Milestones: Mrs. Owurah highlighted areas where the Ministry has recorded significant progress in aligning with reforms.
– Leadership and Vision: Mrs. Owurah commended Mrs. Walson-Jack for her tireless efforts in driving reforms and promoting a culture of excellence within the Federal Civil Service.

The visit underscores the HCSF’s broader strategy of integration, tying PMS efforts to wider reform initiatives while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement in service delivery. Mrs. Walson-Jack’s leadership and vision have been instrumental in shaping the Performance Management System, and the Ministry appreciates her guidance and support.
