Niger Gov’t commiserates with flood ravaged Mokwa community

The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman has extended his deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to Alhaji Mohammed Aliyu Shaba, the Nda-lele of Mokwa, following the devastating flood disaster that has wrecked havoc in Mokwa, Mokwa Local Government Area of the State.
in his condolence message, the Chief scribe of the state expressed deep sorrow and solidarity on behalf of the State Government and reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to ensuring immediate relief and long-term recovery for the affected communities.
“What happened in Mokwa is a tragedy that affects every heart in Niger State, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost loved ones, and we stand with every man, woman, and child who has suffered in this disaster” SSG stated.
He added that Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago as matter of urgency has already directed all relevant MDAs and emergency response agencies to mobilize resources and support for the affected population.
Alhaji Usman urged all residents to remain hopeful and proactive in the recovery efforts while calling for collaboration between the Government and community members to ensure that Mokwa emerges stronger from this crisis.
The SSG offered his compassion and prayers, especially to those affected by the floods. He urged the people of the area to remain hopeful and resilient, promising that they would not be forgotten in their time of need.
