Children’s Day: 11-year-old girl launches philanthropic foundation to support less-privilege children

Children’s Day is among the significant holidays in the Nigerian educational calendar system for the O’ level students and elementary pupils especially, as the day is specifically set aside to celebrate the potential and growth of young minds. It is an opportunity for parents globally to connect, encourage, guide, and set their children’s career paths straight for their respective dreams as they navigate through their educational hurdles.
The Chantel Princess Adenowo Special Educational Foundation (C.A.S.E Foundation) has set the lead for the younger generation in her philanthropic act through scholarship and provision of educational materials to indigent children of low-income earners and less privileged children. Princess Chantel who is also the current Little Miss Decency Africa World, the founder and child ambassador of the C.A.S.E Foundation, has started creating an everlasting impact on her age group and many minds by ensuring that children of less privilege are not denied the right to learn due to economical constraint.
The 11-year-old ambassador of Chantel Adenowo Special Education Foundation (C.A.S.E Foundation) has then launched her special educational foundation in commemoration of Children’s Day which is aimed at supporting less indigent among the children who find it obscure to have quality education as she continues to make a positive impact in the lives of many underprivileged children through her foundation.
Chantel’s foundation which was birthed on February 14 has facilitated scholarships for children of her age group, facing financial obstacles by providing them with access to education, sharing educational materials, and giving a brighter future through partnering with schools around Igando in Lagos as the foundation has managed to grant scholarships to students, including orphans and children living in difficult circumstances.
The ambassador of the foundation, Chantel Adenowo, exclusively disclosed that the dream of the foundation started as a pet project with a generous and humanitarian service; she said: “I contested for a beauty pageant, and the task was to collaborate with the school’s owner to secure scholarship for children facing financial obstacle.” She adds, “I believe every child deserves to learn, no matter their background. My dream is bigger than mine, but with help and the right sponsorships and partnerships, we can make it happen. Please don’t let my dream die.”
However, one of the teary incidents was the Raymond kids, who lost their dad to a stroke and their mum to breast cancer within the space of three weeks. They are among the major beneficiaries of the C.A.S.E Foundation’s full educational scholarship. Among other beneficiaries of CASE foundation are: Tofunmi Sunday, Amirat Bolarinwa, Sunny Olaiya, Angel, Daniel and Daniella Okechukwu, Precious and Ebuka Nwankwo among many beneficiaries
Chantel’s mother, who also doubles as the president of the foundation, Mrs. Lola Adenowo, expressed delight, pride, and support for her daughter’s endeavors, highlighting the joy and fulfillment that comes from her whenever she renders help to others. “Whenever we grant scholarships, Chantel experiences joy and happiness, and it’s a feeling that motivates her to continue striving for more.”
The president of CASE foundations also noted how tough it is to have a sponsor and partnership but further acknowledged that the efforts in promoting the foundation have not gone unnoticed, as All-socks Nig.Ltd donated 500 hundred pair of socks to the foundation sharing the vision of the foundation in making both local and global impact. Some of the partnering schools are Govera Group of Schools, Mercy Hall of Fame Schools, Rich Focus School, Kaydable Nursery/Pry School, Ben-Grace Schools. Jendol Superstore has also decided to support Little Chantel’s philanthropic endeavors.
The secretary to the foundation Mr Adetomiwa Adenowo, who is the father to little Chantel appeals to parents at large to take cognisance of their children’s dream and of give a beacon of gardiance to them whenever they are in need, acknowledging the thick he went through in giving a shoulder to his little Chantel’s dream, and also urge the children to be steadfast in their studies.
He further calls for more sponsors and partnership for the Chantel Adenowo Special Educational Foundation (C.A.S.E) as the foundation continues to grow, it is hoped that more sponsors and partners will join the cause, enabling the young girl to reach her potentials as more children are in need.
