Lagos, FMITI strengthen partnership for economic growth

The Lagos State Government (LSG) and the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment (FMITI) have reaffirmed their commitment to collaboration, aiming to boost investment, support local businesses, and create new economic opportunities for the people of Lagos.

This latest development was contained in a press statement from the Dr. Adebayo Thomas, Director Press and Public Relations, FMITI on Tuesday.

During a meeting between Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the FMITI team, the Lagos State Government commended the Ministry’s efforts in driving economic growth, citing recent GDP and economic indicators that demonstrate the rapidly changing trade and investment landscape. The state government acknowledged the contributions of the President and FMITI to the nation’s economic progress.

The LSG expressed its readiness to collaborate more closely with FMITI to boost investment, support local businesses, and create new economic opportunities. This partnership aims to leverage the strengths of both the state and federal governments to drive economic growth and development in Lagos.

The meeting underscores the commitment of both the Lagos State Government and FMITI to work together towards achieving economic growth and development. By strengthening their partnership, they aim to create a more favorable business environment, attract investments, and improve the lives of Lagosians.

The Executive Governor of Lagos State, H. E. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in a handshake with the Hon. Min. of Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole during a courtesy visit to the Governor as part of the ongoing National Council on Industry, Trade and Investment in Lagos.
