Nigerian teenager Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke is breaking barriers and shattering stereotypes on World Autism Awareness Day.

Standard – Times Nigeria reports that, The 15-year-old autistic artist has been recognized by Guinness World Records for creating the largest painting by an individual, measuring an impressive 12,303 square meters, in Abuja on Wednesday at the Eagle’s Square.

Kanyeyachukwu’s remarkable achievement is a testament to his talent, dedication, and perseverance. His artwork, titled “Impossibility Is a Myth,” was unveiled at Eagle Square in Abuja, where he received his Guinness World Records certificate from the Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa.

The minister praised Kanyeyachukwu’s achievement, stating that age and challenges should never be barriers to greatness.

She emphasized that every Nigerian, regardless of background or disability, has the potential to contribute meaningfully to society.

Kanyeyachukwu’s family has been instrumental in supporting his artistic journey. His father, Mr. Tagbo Okeke, shared that Kanyeyachukwu began showing a proclivity towards art at the age of two, and has since become a renowned artist, even holding a solo exhibition in Dubai.

The young artist’s achievement is not only a personal milestone but also a powerful statement about autism awareness and inclusion.

As Kanyeyachukwu’s philosophy goes, “Impossibility is a Myth,” and he is living proof that with determination and support, anything is possible.
