FCT Minister Wike dismisses collapse rumors

The Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has categorically denied rumors about his collapse and being rushed abroad for treatment, according to a press statement from Anthony Ogunleye, the Director of Press, Office of the Minister, on Thursday.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja, Barr. Wike attributed the spread of these rumors to political machinations aimed at diverting attention from serious allegations of planned attacks on national assets.

The Minister emphasized his focus on providing good governance in the FCT and assured Nigerians that he is in robust health, citing his recent public engagements, including the President’s Iftar engagement and the Sallah homage.

Barr. Wike also expressed satisfaction with the progress of ongoing infrastructure projects in the FCT, including the International Conference Centre renovation and road projects in Gishiri and Katampe Districts.

He commended the contractors for their commitment to delivering quality projects on schedule and assured them that funding is not a challenge, thanks to President Tinubu’s support.

The Minister encouraged taxpayers to fulfill their obligations, promising that they will witness tangible results from their contributions.
