President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Wike, for introducing progressive ideas and innovations that have improved living conditions in the FCT. The President made this commendation during a Sallah visit by FCT residents to the Presidential Villa on Sunday, March 30, 2025.

President Tinubu highlighted Wike’s contributions to the FCT administration, citing the independent civil service commission solution, which has facilitated upward mobility and promotions consistent with the civil service structure. He also acknowledged Wike’s role in rehabilitating health centers, upgrading health facilities, and furnishing school buildings.
The President emphasized the importance of unity in diversity, noting that Wike has successfully exploited this concept to add value to governance. He called on Nigerians to care for the less privileged, promote tolerance, and share with one another, especially during times of need.
In his remarks, Minister Wike congratulated President Tinubu on the successful completion of Ramadan and pledged the FCT residents’ unwavering loyalty and support for the Renewed Hope Agenda. He also thanked the President for approving administrative changes that have enhanced the FCTA’s efficiency.
The FCT Minister presented President Tinubu with a giant Sallah card, assisted by Vice President Kashim Shettima, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and Information Minister Alhaji Mohammed Idris.
