According to the monarch, the lawmaker whom he described as his son, being a native of the community has bolstered not only the image of the community but also given pride to the Constituency and constituents alike.
Our reporter gathered that recently, Hon. Oboku reeled out various forms of empowerment initiatives and gifts to his Constituents at the Central-Epie Secondary School, Oplo-Yenagoa.
The will reports that the empowerment programs included gifting no fewer than 100 hundred mini-buses, tricycles, cars, grinding and sewing machines, fertilize,r and insecticide fumigation machines to constituents of the Yenagoa/Kolokuma/Opokuma Federal Constituency.
The monarch said: “Oforji is God sent for this community and the good people of Yenagoa/Kolokuma/Opokuma Federal Constituency. Just recently we saw the magnitude of empowerment initiatives he rolled out for the Constituency.
“He has been doing these all the time, but not in this magnitude. This time, virtually there were persons from all the Communities of the Constituency that benefitted from his empowerment programme.
“In this community, Opolo, apart from reaching out to our people periodically and always, has several projects to his credit. He has just started the construction of about 40 meters bridge across the Epie Creek section of this community, and he promised timely completion”.
The Royal father added: “My prayer for him is that God bless and continue to promote him to do more for our people and the entire federal constituency.
“I can only wish him the very best in his political future. I want to advise that after his tenure in the federal constituency, and that if there’s any bigger position available he should aspire for it so that he can continue to add value and make even greater impact in the state and nation at large”.
