In his continued demonstration of compassion and generosity, Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has donated N527,950,000 to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state for the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
The funds were disbursed on Saturday at the APC State Secretariat in Birnin Kebbi by the State Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Kana Zuru, assisted by the Treasurer, AA Suru. Beneficiaries include all 225 ward chairmen, who received N50,000 each, as well as delegates who got the same amount. APC executive members at the local government level were given N100,000 each.
Speaking during the disbursement, Kana Zuru praised Governor Idris for his continuous support and goodwill toward party members.
“This gesture reflects the governor’s commitment to your welfare and his desire for you to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr with joy,” he said. “He appreciates your prayers during Ramadan for the success of his administration and extends his best wishes to every party member.”
He urged members to remain loyal and supportive of the party, emphasizing Governor Idris’ vision for the transformation of Kebbi State, particularly in making Birnin Kebbi a modern cosmopolitan city.
Kana Zuru also cautioned against distractions from emerging political parties, stressing that APC has internal mechanisms for dealing with disloyalty and defections.
“As party members, we must remain steadfast in achieving our collective goals and enjoying the dividends of democracy. I wish everyone a joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration,” he concluded.
