Alaafin-Oyo is yet to become King without Sango crown -Chief Mogba Koso

In the process of completing the traditional rites of Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, the 46th Alaafin of Oyo, the Baba-Mogba of Koso Oyo Alaafin, Chief Oyedemi Olutunde Oyelowo has said the new king is yet to complete the traditional rites without visit the Koso shrine to go through the rituals and be crown with Sango Crown that will made him King traditionally.
In an interview with Chief Oyedemi Olutunde Oyelowo, Baba-Mogba Alaafin, Koso Oyo, Standard-Times learned that the purpose of the overnight ritual of Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade at Sango shrine in Koso was to appeal to the gods to make his ragn peaceful, successful for all Oyo’s and Yoruba land at large.
According to him “The rituals we performed overnight for Alaafin Owoade was to appeal to the gods to give the new King long life and make his ragn peaceful, successful for all Oyo’s and Yoruba land.
“Alaafin traditional rites can not be complete without visiting the Sango shrine in Koso because that’s the last rite to become Alaafin in Oyo. Alaafin will be crowned in Koso by Baba-Mogba with the Sango crown and that’s when he can be officially registered as ALAAFIN OF OYO”.
“We will crown Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade with Sango crown here today, and he will be officially regarded as Alaafin of Oyo before the government ceremonies that are to legalize it according to Nigeria law.”
