Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State urges Muslim Ummah to uphold dedication in the worship of Allah beyond the Ramadan period.
The governor stated this in a message to congratulate the Muslim Ummah across the globe on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast and the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
He reminds the Muslim Ummah that the teachings of the Quran and Hadith are centered on peace, love, discipline, and humility, explaining that the worship of Allah is not only observed during Ramadan fast but lifelong.
While thanking Allah for the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the Governor notes that the celebration revolves around love, arms giving to the less privileged, and peaceful co-existence with people of other religions.
He calls on them to use the period to also pray for enduring peace in Nigeria as a whole and Niger State in particular, as well as all the leaders to continue to serve humanity selflessly.
The Governor further restates his commitment to building a New Niger where everyone will have a sense of belonging.
