Nasarawa State Government said an effort is ongoing to ensure that salaries of Civil Servants are paid before the forthcoming Sallah celebration next Week.
Governor Abdullahi Sule gave this assurance through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Comrade Peter Ahemba, during a Monthly Media briefing on Wednesday in Lafia, the State Capital.
According to him, all Civil Servants in the State, including Staff of Local Government Councils, would be paid their Salaries before the time.
Sule, who commanded the Muslim Ummah for their peaceful conduct during the Ramadan fast, said the State Government wanted to pay the Salaries before the Sallah to enable Muslims in the State who are Civil Servants to celebrate the event comfortably with members of their families.
The Governor, who frowned against any form of the campaign ahead of the 2027 election in the State, said he had not made any pronouncement concerning the 2027 election, adding that he has over two years to administer the State and provide more dividends of Democracy to the People.
According to him, anyone saying that he has anointed a candidate to be his successor is only trying to distract him from the good work he is doing and called on such persons to desist from the act.
Sule, who said his focus is to ensure that the people of the State benefit from projects he has in mind to execute in the remaining years of his second term, explained that when the time comes for the next election, attention will be given to it accordingly.
He advised Citizens of the State to remain peaceful and avoid acts capable of causing problems.
