Kebbi: pilgrims on Umrah commend Gov Idris, PWA Chairman

By: John Bassey.

Pilgrims from Kebbi State who are currently performing the lesser Hajj (Umrah) have commended Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr.Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, and the Chairman of the State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (PWA), Alhaji Faruk Musa Yaro Enabo, for ensuring smooth transportation and providing befitting accommodation in the Holy land.

They also expressed gratitude for the well-organized and free feeding arrangements, which had significantly eased their pilgrimage experience.

Hajiya Uwale Birnin Kebbi and Hajiya Fatima described the entire arrangement as well-planned and remarkable, noting that it allowed them to fulfill their religious obligations in both Madina and Makkah with ease.

Similarly, Alhaji Isah Assalafi from Birnin Kebbi praised Gov. Idris and Alhaji Faruk Enabo for their unwavering commitment to improving the provision of logistics for the pilgrimage.

“Every time we visit the Holy Land for Hajj or Umrah, we witness new improvements in transportation, feeding, and accommodation.

This is a testament to the dedication of our Governor and the leadership of the Pilgrims Welfare Agency,” he stated.

This marks the first time the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, under Alhaji Faruk Musa Yaro, Enabo, has been directly responsible for the transportation and arrangements of pilgrims for lesser Hajj.

With Gov. Idris’ unwavering support, the agency successfully airlifted pilgrims from the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi, directly to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

It is noteworthy that last year’s Hajj exercise, which saw Kebbi State hosting the inaugural airlift from the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, was widely regarded as the most successful in the state’s history.

It had received encomiums from both Saudi Arabian authorities and the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), earning Kebbi State national and international recognition.
