‘Maintain peace, ensure zero crime rate,’ Ajayi urges security operatives

The Chairman of Gbonyin Local Council Development Area, Hon. Oluwadamilare Ajayi has urged security personnel to work together to maintain peace and order in the area.
He emphasized the importance of synergy and collaboration among security officials and the community to achieve a zero crime rate.
At an event held in Aisegba Ekiti, Ajayi called on security personnel, particularly Amotekun and local hunters, to effectively patrol farmlands and prevent clashes between herders and farmers during the planting season.
He also expressed concern about the high rate of drug abuse among youths in the area and promised to collaborate with relevant government agencies to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.
Ajayi appealed to NDLEA officials to intensify their intelligence-gathering efforts to identify and apprehend drug suppliers.
He also urged community members to provide useful information to security officials to help curb crime.
The meeting was attended by representatives from various security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, NSCDC, DSS, NDLEA, and Immigration.
This is not the first time Ajayi has demonstrated his commitment to security and community development.
He has previously empowered security operatives with logistics and equipment to strengthen security in the area.
