NBTI Boss, Dr. Kazeem Raji, appoints as Chairman of Technology Incubation Entrepreneurs’ Board

The Nigeria Association of Technology Incubation Entrepreneurs (NATIE) has named Dr. Kazeem Kolawole Raji, the Director General/CEO of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), as the Chairman of its Board of Trustees.
The appointment was announced during a courtesy visit by NATIE’s National Executive to NBTI Headquarters in Abuja, highlighting a shared commitment to entrepreneurship, job creation, and economic growth through technology incubation in Nigeria.
NATIE, comprising incubatees, post-incubatees, and graduates of the Technology Incubation Programme, plays a critical role in driving innovation and sustaining business growth. Speaking on behalf of NATIE’s National President, the National Secretary, Mr. Oson, praised Dr. Raji’s leadership and strategic vision, emphasizing the need for stronger collaboration between NBTI and technology entrepreneurs.
During the visit, NATIE executives advocated for the establishment of technology parks and hubs in every geopolitical zone, which would support post-incubation entrepreneurs and enhance technological advancements. They credited NBTI’s crucial role in their success, citing the agency’s support in commercializing innovations, securing grants, and ensuring product standardization.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Raji expressed gratitude for the appointment and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening ties between NBTI and NATIE. He highlighted the success story of a Technology Incubation Centre entrepreneur in Ilorin, who recorded a ₦5.4 billion turnover in 2024 through an AI-driven emerging technology solution.
To further empower Nigerian tech entrepreneurs, Dr. Raji announced plans to organize domestic and international exhibitions to showcase and market innovative products. He also reiterated his vision to establish world-class technology parks and hubs, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to drive industrialization and economic diversification.
With NBTI’s continued efforts to expand partnerships and enhance technology incubation, this collaboration with NATIE represents a major step toward building a sustainable, innovation-driven economy in Nigeria.
