Deputy Governor of Edo state, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa has wished the Muslim faithful a meaningful and solemn Ramadan as the holy month begins.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo, Idahosa prayed for Allah’s guidance over everyone throughout the period.
During the month of Ramadan, Muslims observe fasting and abstain from worldly pleasures as a means of spiritual discipline and deepening their connection with Allah.
Idahosa referred to this as a demonstration of their faith that allows them to create a stronger bond in their communities.
He expressed hope that the month-long observance will strengthen kinship, foster forgiveness for past grievances, and allow a spirit of harmony.
“Together, let us build a future where love and understanding prevail and where the light of hope shines brightly for all,” Idahosa said.
“The deputy governor said he wished everyone a meaningful and solemn celebration,”
